Marc Jacobs goes hippie with Louis Vuitton this season. In line with the fresh start of a new year’s spring, Mr. Jacobs pays tribute to the youth culture of today, going cyber-punk-hippie-traveller in a show of layers and accessories overdrive.

The runway set of one look too many was held together by the consistent motifs of enormous afro wigs and boho traveler sling bags, trailed by abundant trim fringes or colourful fur tails – pretty apt for a label known for its history in luggage and travel gear.

The military look with jackets and coats were regular sights, punctuated by the occasional dresses paired with flowery thigh length tights. In concert with the traveler theme, comfort was also key in this collection, so in place of killer stilettos were fur trimmed PVC clog-sandals, fur-trimmed boots and kitten heels, probably a welcome relief for the leggy models.
