Eyewear atelier Customeyes is exactly what it sounds like - a creator of bespoke luxury eyewear. Based in New York City, this Kilgour of spectacles is the vision of artisan Nader Zadi. The idea is to return the spirit of craftsmanship to an accessory that has been somewhat overtaken by mass production.

Channeling the Great Gatsby, Zadi injects a dash of long-forgotten class into eyewear that has less to do with the precious metals he uses than his own skills and know-how. Part of this know-how arises from the fact that Zadi is a collector of antique eyewear, a passion that directly led him to start this bespoke service.

A certified optician and licensed ophthalmic dispenser, Zadi does not make frivolous toys but, with a selection of components that goes back 200 hundred years, there is a certain amount of extravagance to what he's doing of course.
The atelier divides its offerings into four distinct areas: sunglasses, ophthalmic, half-eyes and rare frames. Customeyes sees its clients by appointment only to better serve them individually.
