Three-star Le Classement champagne Jacquesson comes to Singapore courtesy of Beam Global Asia. We discovered first-hand the unique properties of this brand of bubbly at a special tasting session.
Champagne Jacquesson was founded in 1798 and, since 1974 has been under the stewardship of the Chiquet family. Once a favorite of Napoleon, its reputation faltered in the past but was rescued by the Chiquet family.

Jacquesson is today one of only five other champagne houses to achieve three stars in Le Classement by La Revue du Vin de France. The others are Bollinger, Egly-Ouriet, Krug, Salon and Selosse.
What sets Jacquesson apart is its unusual approach to its non-vintage wines (they are blended to express the best, not the house style) and its dedication to single-vineyard wines (to better express the terroir).
Singapore gets its first taste via four champagnes: Cuvée N° 733, Avize Grand Cru 2000, Jacquesson 2000, and Dizy Terres Rouges Rosé 2004.
