The Michelin starred Cépage restaurant in Hong Kong is launching a new Sunday lunch menu that will involve the whole table. It's ideal for when you want to have an exquisite family meal and need to find an haute-cuisine eatery.

The essence of the new idea is communal dining so Chef Thomas Mayr will be serving several dishes in family-sized portions.

He said: “Hong Kong families like to dine out on Sunday, so our concept is Chinese-style presentation of large dishes to share, like an entire fish, large roasted rack or family-sized dessert. Food cooked whole always tastes better than cooked individually.”

Dishes include slow roasted U.S Prime ribeye served from a carving trolley, and oven-roasted Saint Pierre (John Dory) served with sautéed artichoke, courgette and oven dried tomato.

Cépage's wine list covers over 2,400 labels and some of the world's most revered vintages. They also breach convention by selling wine from magnums by the glass. So overall it's the perfect place for any kind of large, festive gathering whether with friends or family.

Available from March 14, the four-course menu is priced at HK$5,888.
