The Roger Vivier spring-summer 2010 collection is a festival of everyday wear as well as pieces of absolute fantasy. As Bruno Frisoni, the creative director of Roger Vivier said: "In real life we must dream too."

For 9am-5pm they've created small heels, thongs and shoppers but for when you're out of hours, they've made some pieces that will make your draw drop. Some heels are 11cm high and shimmer with gold leaf and fringes. It is a collection that pits stylish practicality against complete extravagance.

La Carla (below) is perhaps the stand out piece of the collection. You can see it habitually on the arm of France's First Lady – hence the name. This however is an updated, more flexible version of the original crocodile couture piece.

It's available in two sizes and comes in pony skin panther with chocolate crocodile, red washed leather or black patent.

The Prisme (below) was inspired by the Couture
Collections' "navette" jewel. Its fringed style with slender chains (or leather) is a simple
throwback to the 70s.

In the shoe department the Mini Boucle pays homage to the Roger Viver buckle. You'll find this iconic image (below) now in miniature form decorating a line of shoes which range from 50s style pumps to open top ballerinas. They have dubbed this discreet line the 'Chicquettes'.

The high-cut (below) is a skyscraper heel that towers at 10cm. As you can see, it
just gets straight to the point.

Roger Vivier now stocks a pair of 11cm sandals (below) called the Feuilles D'Or whose straps are decorated in leaves of gold leather. It's inspired by a neo classical belt and you can see the echoes of Ancient Greece. There are also several other within the Evening Wear department which will knock you over. We quietly urge you to look them up.

Meanwhile in the accessories cupboard you'll find jewels and small leather such as like wallets and card holders. On top of that they've also produced a selection of belts (below) which adopt the form of leaves, the ring of the Le Carla bag, the contour bangle or the Vivier buckle outline.
