Goldarths Review was delighted to have had the chance to photograph the fantastic new watch from Graham, the King George. An amazing chiming chronograph, and a piece unique no less.

The Graham King George watch represents a big step for the company, as it combines three complications and features two significant innovations. The King George is a chronograph minute repeater that draws inspiration from not one, but two great Georges: King George III of England, who ruled from 1760 to 1820, as well as George Graham, the master horologist who lived from 1673 to 1751 and who developed the chronograph movement and the cylinder escapement.

George Graham also developed in his day a damper system for Quare's original minute repeater mechanism, which provided an interesting striking variation for the gongs and bells within a repeater watch. This device has inspired one of the most original features of the King George watch, making it worthy of its royal name.

This is the most complex watch ever made by the Graham marque, with 583 components making up three grand complications: a tourbillon, a minute repeater, and a split-seconds chronograph mechanism are all integrated into a single, handsome wristwatch movement.
