Henrik Fisker is the designer behind the achingly beautiful
Aston Martin DB9 and the arresting BMW Z8. Since then, he has gone on to found Fisker Coachbuild, which creates hand-crafted, modern car designs on top of existing sports car mechanicals. Taking bold inspiration from the F/A-22 Raptor jet fighter, the look is one of modernity, elegance, and power.

His first offering is the limited-edition Tramonto, which is based on the running gear of the Mercedes-Benz SL, in SL55 AMG, SL600, or SL65 AMG versions. With the Fisker redesign, however, the coachwork is now better proportioned with its shorter rear deck, and is made from lightweight, advanced materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber. Should you find that the 500+ horsepower of the top-of-the line SLs inadequate as a motive device, then Fisker would help liberate upwards of 610 horses from your steed, with the help of renowned Mercedes tuners, Kleeman.

The Latigo CS – also limited to just 150 units – is the sibling to the Tramonto, and it is based on BMW’s 6-series coupé. It, too, shares the Fisker look up front, as well as the company’s trademark smooth surfacing and modern details. Lightweight materials are heavily used in the Latigo CS also. Like the Tramonto, the Latigo CS is available in a few guises, either based on the 650Ci, or the ultra-rapid M6 super-coupé.
Be it Tramonto or Latigo, which one you choose will depend on which platform you prefer in its original guise, as the Tramonto and Latigo CS final products are totally customizable to your specific tastes – with pricing to match.
