The 3700 is fitted with an array of high-tech equipment of the kind that is normally found only on yachts of at least 40 metres. Besides a satellite
communication system, this includes a remote controlled home automation set up that can be used to create exactly the right ambience in the spacious
upper deck saloon by adjusting the lighting and blinds, screening a favourite video, or playing a tune from a central electronic library.
Its cabins – which can comfortably accommodate the owner and up to ten guests, as well as five or six crew members – have flawless insulation
and perfect soundproofing.
The wide and deep garage is accessible from the outside or an interior stairway. It can store a jet ski, air compressor and diving equipment, as well
as a 5.4-metre tender that is easily guided onto the sea and retrieved with the help of two hydro-electric platforms.
“The 3700 can quickly and comfortably take its owner all around Asia and in all weather conditions,” Besson points out. Two high-performance
yet quiet and fuel-efficient 2735 horsepower engines give it a top speed of 30 knots at half load, while the two 60 horsepower hydraulic thrusters ensure
excellent manoeuvrability.
The sleek, well-balanced, V-shaped kevlar hull and a low center of gravity make the 3700 stable and easy to handle, even on rough seas. It has a roll
period of just five or six seconds and no tendency to heel.
