Simply Perfect: A pictorrial Review of the Dufour Simplicity

In many watches, the anglage, or beveling, of the edges of the plates and bridges are straight angles. Dufour chooses to use round beveling for his movements, which is far more difficult to execute. The bridge design chosen by Dufour also compounds the complexity, for the curvature of the beveling must be consistent throughout the curves and sweeps of the bridge design.

He does this while keeping his internal corners as sharp as a knife – one of the most telling signs of a passionately finished movement.
This external corner, rounded to follow the shape of the jewel, is punctuated by two incredibly sharp points. The tip of this point is almost as fine as a needle.
