The Gulfstream G550 features the PlaneView™ cockpit – the most advanced flight deck available in commercial aviation. With its unique blending of state-of-the-art technology and simplicity in presentation, PlaneView ensures pilots can access all flight-essential information from a single source. With PlaneView, functions including navigation, communication and aircraft system status can be accessed easily via Gulfstream’s signature Cursor Control Device.

NEW GULFSTREAM G550

The G550 also includes the Gulfstream Enhanced Vision System (EVS), which enables flight crews to see runway markings, taxiways, adjacent roads and surrounding areas in conditions of limited visibility. By incorporating advanced software, hardware and display technologies and marrying them with the latest in infrared camera technology, the G550 PlaneView cockpit reduces pilot workload and thus improves safety.

Powered by two advanced Rolls-Royce BR710 engines, each producing more than 15,000 pounds of thrust, the G550 can fly eight passengers and four crewmembers 6,750 nautical miles - the longest range available in a business jet. Aerodynamic improvements increase range 250 nautical miles over the GV.

Nevertheless, G550 also enlarged usable cabin space as well as the baggage compartment. The cabin door has been moved two feet forward, thus allowing space for one more of Gulfstream's trademark oval windows on each side. This and other changes have resulted in 58 more cubic feet of usable cabin space, leaving room for four separate seating and living areas.

Owners of the fully equipped Gulfstream G550 can choose from multiple cabin layouts which, along with other options, greatly enhance the customer’s ability to tailor the aircraft to meet their individual mission needs.
