Cruising at 1,900 rpm, Vision 68's twin 1,000 hp C-18 CATs give the vessel a standard speed of 13.6 knots; or 10 knots
at 1,300 rpm. Reducing the noise and vibration from her engines would have made a more sociable ride when going at full
throttle.
The helm has a large carved wooden destroyer wheel in front of three ample navigation information screens, easy-to-reach
switches and panel monitors, and plentiful drawer-chart storage. There's plenty of space for co-pilots here, and even a wooden
table on rising pedestals and sofa seating for them to relax on. Access from the deck is via sliding doors at each beam,
or the owner's choice of either a spiral staircase in the salon or an exterior one from the main deck stern.
A full grill, fridge and service bar out on the aft deck make a natural hub for al fresco partying, full meals or quick
snacks. Nearby, there stands a 1,500-lb hydraulic crane ready to launch a 13-foot Avon RIB auxiliary with a 50-hp Yamaha engine – great
for entertaining.
Other bells and whistles include fully-railed walk-around decks that make line handling simple and enable quick fender
deployment. The anchor chain guide and windlass are concealed beneath the deck, which leaves the bow area uncluttered.
A button-down canvass cover protects forward seat cushions when they are not in use.
All in all, Vision 68 offers the kind of space you would normally find on a much larger boat, combined with a manageability
that befits its size. It also bears the hallmarks of Horizon's legendary attention to quality and detail as well as the
company's excellent manufacturing processes. To date, these have delighted more than 400 luxury motor yacht owners around
the globe and made the company the world's fifth-largest luxury yacht builder.
Vision 68 is exclusively marketed in Southeast Asia by Kingfisher Marine.
