With the now-famous Model D Music System, Steinway Lyngdorf announced that they wanted people to feel as if the music they
were listening to on the system came not through speakers, wires and amplifiers but from the musicians themselves. Founder
Peter Lyngdorf wanted the system to not so much reproduce sound as precisely as possible but to pull the musicians into
the room itself. When Monteiro moved from the room to the screen, with his music channeled through the home theatre system,
Steinway Lyngdorf achieved just that. More than a few audio systems on the market today will lay claim to the virtues
of the subliminal but, on this night, it was clear that only Steinway Lyngdorf had demonstrated it.
Returning now to Formula 1, the pure technical merits of the sound system engineered by audio maestro Peter Lyngdorf
are a comfortable match for the very best marques in Formula 1. When it comes to beauty, finishing and traditional craftsmanship,
the brand has no peers in either the world of Formula 1 or even in audio systems. For that, one has to turn to the world
of haute horlogerie, where finishing and craftsmanship are the measure of quality. Nevertheless, the fact that any Formula
1 team would envy the sheer force of new technology that Peter Lyngdorf has invested into the Model D and Model C systems
and the recently launched home theatre system is remarkable.
Although Model C, Model LS and Model M have all been introduced this year, we shall approach them differently, starting
with Model C. Steinway Lyngdorf Asia Pacific and the Middle East President Suguna Madhavan weighs in with a few choice
words to introduce the system.
