Nestled in a painstakingly restored old chapel located off the Dempsey area in Singapore, The White Rabbit is a restaurant & bar
serving classic European comfort food and age-old cocktails.
To retain the simplicity and beauty of the abandoned church at Harding Road, the design teams led by Takenouchi Webb
and Asylum kept to existing elements as much as possible, in accordance with the owners' wishes. Specifically, the features
of the chapel such as the timber structure, mosaic floor tiles and decorative iron window grilles have been preserved.
The name "White Rabbit" comes straight from Lewis Carroll's famous classic "Alice in Wonderland". The covered outdoor
terrace, also named as The Rabbit Hole, houses an outdoor bar and access to the garden. Black and white mosaic tiles with
an Alice in Wonderland referenced tongue-in-cheek message 'Drink me' inscribed marks out the bar. The cocktail menu is
an eclectic mix of the old and new. Try the Cinnamon and Sultana Crusta, based on the Brandy Crusta created in 1852 or
the White Rabbit's version of the popular Cuban Mojito, which they call Black Forest Mojito.
The Chef
Head Chef Daniel Sia, who honed his skills at London's Le Gavroche and Marco Pierre White's Oak Room, had held stints
at Marmalade, Les Amis and was most recently Chef de Cuisine in Shanghai's Le Platane.
Signature Dishes
Chef Daniel creates old-time favorites such as Steak Tartare, Chicken and Duck Liver Parfait, Tournedos Rossini, Mac & Cheese
and Baked Alaska while toying with new ingredients to create the chapel's signature dishes like Slightly Spiced Prawn
Bisque, Chicken a la King and The White Rabbit Black Forest Cake.
