The Chef’s Table seems at first thought an odd concept. Why would anybody want to pay above the odds to eat out, only to be seated in the kitchen amidst clattering pots and pans and a bad tempered chef? Far from being the unpleasant experience one might expect, this new experience has been hailed as the ultimate in exclusive dining and a must for the culinary connoisseur.

First introduced by London’s prominent chef Gordon Ramsay, the concept of the chef’s table has taken the fine dining scene by storm. For a modest price, privileged guests can get front row seats to a live culinary performance as top chefs and their teams work their artistry. In fact, chef’s tables have become so successful that many eateries now require guests to book the table six months in advance.
