Presidential Suite at the Hotel de Crillon; Paris, France

The Hotel de Crillon is intricately bound to the history and culture of Paris. Formerly the home of the Duke of Aumont, its location at the Place de la Concorde means it has borne witness to the Revolution of 1789 and the execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. It also overlooks the famous Egyptian obelisk that characterizes Place de la Concorde today. The Presidential Suite here is pet-friendly with the staff taking pains to make pets feel at home (dog-specific room service). Service is what distinguishes this room, as the Hotel de Crillon staff pride themselves on being able to arrange almost anything. Guests are requested to pass them their itineraries and they will take care of everything.

Extreme Wow Suite at W Hotel Walkerhill; Seoul, South Korea

As might be expected from a W property, this hotel and its penthouse suite eschew artifacts in favor of extreme modernity. Rather like a Richard Mille watch, the hotel offers the Extreme Wow Suite in place of the traditional Presidential or Penthouse suites. The suite offers a water feature at the entrance, an LED-illuminated floor for the 10-person dinning room that changes color, a private wine cellar and three 50" plasma screen televisions. Dinner is served on Bone China tableware while wine is served in Ridel glasses.
