Piaget Altiplano with Meteorite Dial

Piaget is the undeniable master of ultra-thin movements – a fact known by many within the industry. It entered the Guinness Book of Records in 1960 as the creator of “the world’s thinnest self-winding movement” for its 2.3mm 12P movement, and has continued to be the supplier of choice for ultra-thin movements. This is highlighted by the fact that it has received numerous accolades for its creations. For instance, the Altiplano XL was awarded the "Ultra-thin Watch Prize” at the third Geneva Watchmakers’ Grand Prix in November 2003.

The visually spectacular Altiplano with Meteorite Dial evokes a desire for exploration. Drawing upon its jewel-making heritage, Piaget has transformed a classically elegant piece into a timeless wonder.

Its amazing 2.1mm caliber 430P, which took a full 18 months of conception and development, testifies to the watchmaker’s exceptional technical know-how. It also serves as an eloquent reminder of the fact that unlike many brands, Piaget timepieces house a proprietary Manufacture-made movement.

Since its establishment in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has developed a solid reputation for its fine handcrafted timepieces. While noted for its classic Reverso series of rectangular watches, its round-cased Master Control line is also very popular with collectors.

The Master Ultra Thin has been a staple of the Master Control line, which boasts 1,000 hours of accuracy testing. It is notable for its easy-to-read 34mm dial, which features hand-applied five-minute markers and Arabic numerals.

This beautiful stainless steel creation further stands out for its clean, flowy lines. Its lack of complications adds to its sleek appeal. While this stylish piece would complement a high-couture suit, it is also rugged enough for daily wear. This mechanical hand-wound wrist instrument comes with a scratchproof sapphire crystal caseback and is water resistant up to 50m.
