Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Grande Taille

Vacheron Constantin is a brand that needs no introduction. As a member of the Great Triumvirate of Swiss watch brands (along with Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe), its pedigree and heritage are world-renowned.

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Grande Taille stands out immediately for its elegant simplicity. Its broad, understated dial may come across as patrician at first glance, but on closer inspection, its remarkable attention to detail becomes evident: witness the painstakingly applied and hand-polished white gold minute markers.

This beautiful watch also features the Vacheron Constantin caliber 1400 hand-wound mechanical movement, a proprietary design born of the company’s own expertise. The 18K yellow or white gold case is unique: while its slim profile is in keeping with the classic tradition, its 40mm diameter provides a distinctly modern feel.

The Chopard L.U.C. Extra Plate is part of a series of collections named after its founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard. It won the top prize at the 2006 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve in the category of ultra-thin watches – truly an accomplishment considering the impressive level of competition.

The L.U.C. series is significant as it marks the firm’s return to its watchmaking origins after almost 20 years in the jewelry business. While its name may suggest that the line is dedicated to highly complicated timepieces, such as the L.U.C. Steel Wings and the L.U.C. Tech Regulateur, the series also pays tribute to the ultra-thin tradition, as evidenced by the L.U.C. Extra Plate.

This watch is particularly stunning in the white gold model, which features a glossy black dial that resembles black onyx owing to its extraordinary depth and shine. Polished white gold Arabic numerals and baton hands endow this wrist instrument with the class one has come to associate with Chopard.
