Michele Menescardi from Italy emerged as one of the six honorable mentions out of 3241 works from 88 countries with her heart-warming design, titled "Phoebe" in a design contest co-organized by DesignBoom and Bisque Radiators with the theme "The radical radiators of the future". According to Michele, Phoebe is created based on the concept of bringing the fireplace back to its roots, in her own words – "to take the fireplace back to its roots". Shaped like a graduated pebble, which looks like contour lines on a map when viewed from the top, this portable electric radiator consists of lamellar sections and a heating core. Besides serving as a source of heat in winter, it stands as a unique piece of art in your living room.
