Located in the West Wing of the luxuriously appointed Emirate Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Anantara Spa is an oasis of wellness and rejuvenation. The interiors are Moroccan-inspired, with mosaic walls, domes and archways, and wooden furnishings. The seven treatment rooms comprise Jacuzzi tubs, steam shower and grooming areas, a traditional Thai massage room and a Vichy Shower room with heated marble.
However, the highlight has to be the ornate Moroccan-styled Hammam, resplendent in diffused lighting, and marble floors and beds. Aside from the usual massage therapies, facials and skincare treatments, the spa offers half-day treatment packages which it calls "Journeys". And with exotic sounding names like 'Gateway to Arabia', 'Path to the Pearl of the Orient' and 'Natural Wonders of the Dead Sea', guests are in for a sensuous treat – spirit, soul and body.
