CaesarStone Quartz Surfaces has been using quartz-engineered stone to create kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities since 1987. Made from 93 percent crushed quartz, combined with polymer resins and pigments, the stone is compacted under high pressure, treated and then polished to a shine.

Because of these laborious treatments, the stone has several advantages
over granite and marble, including being stain, mold, crack and
chemical resistant. CaesarStone’s other product, named Concetto, is
made from individually cut semi-precious stone bound together, and are
used for furniture, counters, vanities, kitchen and bathroom surfaces,
and countertops. Both products come in an array of colors; the quartz
stone also has a variety of polished and “honed” or matte finishes.
