We have previously covered the new BMW M3 Coupé and Sedan, and the revised 6 Series. Now BMW has added the 1 Series Coupé to its impressive 2007 lineup. Positioned as an entry-level model in the BMW range, the new two-door 1 Series Coupé is a rear-wheel drive, and seats two passengers at the rear. It comes in three variants – the sporty-looking 135i Coupé, the 123d and the 120d. All three models are powered by twin-turbo engines and feature common-rail fuel injection to boost power and driving performance while reducing fuel consumption. For example, the 3-liter BMW 135i Coupé accelerates to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, but compared to an equally powerful turbocharged engine, its fuel consumption is cut by about 10 percent.
