Offering breathtaking views of Eiffel Tower, this could be the best place to take in the sights and sounds of the romantic city of Paris. This one-room designer prefab 'hotel', aptly named Hotel Everland, is designed by Swiss architects Sabina Lang and Daniel Baumann. Conceived as an art installation where guests form part of the exhibit, Hotel Everland has already traveled many places since its introduction at the Swiss National Exhibition in 2002.

For the record, it has stood on stilts over Lake Neuchatel, perched
itself on the roof of the Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst in Leipzig.
Until the end of 2008, Hotel Everland would occupy the roof of the
Palais de Tokyo in Paris. And at 333 Euros (or US$491), you get a
deluxe bathroom, a king-size bed, a lounge and well-stocked mini-bar, a
vinyl record player, gold-threaded towels, concierge services and a
Mini Cooper car. The only damper is that guests are only allowed a
one-night stay.
