Officine Panerai, known for their now-iconic instrument-style watches, have launched a new, certified-chronometer watch following in the company's historic tradition of watches supplied to the Italian Navy. The Luminor 1950 Submersible Depth Gauge has an automatic-winding movement cased inside a distinctive, 47 mm-diameter, brushed steel Luminor case water resistant to 120 meters. The aforementioned depth gauge which makes this a true, professional divers' watch has an in-built electronic device which measures the maximum depth attained during a particular dive. 600 examples will be built this year.
