The next generation of high-definition viewing will arrive next year, if Samsung is to be believed. Their latest range of LCD televisions featuring DisplayPort technology will arrive sometime next year, and this new video interface allows them to display resolutions up to 2560x1600, which is far higher than the best 1920x1080, full-HD 1080p screens of today. The screens will also feature 300-nit brightness levels and 10-bit color depth, which means up to 1 billion colors can be rendered on-screen. So far, the planned size that has been announced is a paltry 30 inches, unlike their large and lovely M8 seen above, but this will doubtless increase as the technology matures.
