Imagine the scenario: you are planning a road trip, and need to get directions online. You plan your route on the computer, and print out the best way to get to your destination so you can input them into your on-board satellite navigation system. Sounds good enough? The planning process has just gotten much easier. Mercedes-Benz has introduced, in conjunction with the indispensable Google Maps and Yahoo! Local online street directories, Search and Send, which at the click of a mouse and a push of a button, sends your route directly from your computer to the sat-nav in your car so that the route you have chosen programs itself into the car directly. This subscription-based service is available to Mercedes’ US customers now.End of Article
