If this design concept by art directors Tino Schaedler and Michael J Brown takes off, the Strato Cruiser Airship would make traveling in a Zeppelin popular again. Carbon fiber skin, sectional helium chamber design and photovoltaic cells utilized in the blimp’s construction promise new levels of safety, speed and ecology to travel. Inside the “doughnut hole” atrium, one can find a sky lounge on top. At the basement, you could enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by star chefs while taking in the sights of Egypt’s pyramids or London’s Big Ben from the top. Other facilities such as a spa, terrace deck with lap pool, library, climbing wall, and even a bungee jumping platform, have been proposed. Private suites tucked away from public spaces allow guests on board to rest and rejuvenate fatigued bodies. At the moment though, this luxurious juggernaut remains as dramatic renderings on the designers’ drawing board, unless Mr. Richard Branson takes an interest. End of Article
