As a tribute to the brand's founder, William Baume, Baume & Mercier has created an exclusive collection of timepieces in limited, numbered editions. Embellished with retrograde complications, the William Baume Collection is a re-interpretation of the classical models in the Hampton and Classima Executives series. The red gold versions are limited to 177 pieces while the stainless steel editions are limited to 1830, a nostalgic reference to the year when the company, then known as "Frères Baume" Manufacture, was first founded by William Buame's grandfather, Louis-Victor Baume. It later became known as Baume & Mercier after William teamed up with businessman Paul Mercier in 1920 to found the present brand.
