While the presentation of concept cars that boast futuristic-looking designs and the latest in automotive technology are common fare at motor expos, Ulysse Nardin’s concept of presenting its own concept watch is surely a novelty. Not surprisingly, Ulysee Nardin has chosen to pack 10 technological innovations in this concept watch dubbed the "Innovision" (modeled after its infamous "Freak") to outline the Swiss watch company’s vision on the future of mechanical watchmaking. Some of these innovations include the use of friction-free silicium escapements, lubrication-free components made of silicium, and the making of single components from previously multi-part units – developed in conjunction with Sigatech and Mimotec S.A.
