Vacheron Constantin’s Patrimony Contemporaine Retrograde Day and Date has bagged the award of the Jury Prize for the Watch of the Year 2007 - "Montre de l'Année 2007". The award is given out by two watch magazines Montres Passion and Uhrenwelt, and decided by a jury of professionals from the watch industry. At the prize-giving ceremony held at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Geneva ceremony, Vacheron Constantin’s CEO, Juan-Carlos Torres said on receiving the award, "By its decision to give first prize for the Watch of the Year 2007 to Vacheron Constantin for its Patrimony Contemporaine Retrograde Day and Date, the jury has rewarded and honoured the excellence of the horological tradition that respects the Geneva Hallmark."

Housing an in-house made movement, the 2460 R31 R7 caliber, the Patrimony Contemporaine Retrograde Day and Date features a double complication – two retrograde indicators telling the date of the month and day of the week. The 18 carat pink gold case measures 42.5 mm in diameter, and the silver opaline dial is adorned with gold appliqués hour markers and a minute circle of applied gold cabochons. The exquisite finishing and prestigious Hallmark of Geneva decoration on the movement is revealed via the convex sapphire crystal caseback. End of Article
