In 2006, Dutch designer Michiel van den Brink presented his design of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, which was featured in our article on The Fine Art Of Coachbuilding in March 2007. This year, his company Vandenbrink Design has embarked on an ambitious project to turn his designs into reality. Only five of these GTOs will be built, based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano platform. Working with race engineering expert EDO Competition, two versions are offered, the 599 GTO (with a 6.0 liter V-12 engine is capable of shelling out 650hp and maximum torque of 630 Nm), and the more powerful 630GTO. Production is planned for 2008, with first deliveries in 2009. A fully optioned upgrade to the 630 GTO will set you back €933,000 (about US$1,3 million), and does not include the cost of the base 599 GTB Fiorano. End of Article
