Wiesmann’s retro-styled, but well-executed GT sports car was well-received by critics since its launch two years ago, thanks to its resolved handling, build quality, and powerful BMW V8 engine. There is speculation now that this relationship with BMW could be taken a step further with the possible addition of the Munich firm’s charismatic, 507 bhp V10 from the M5 and M6 into the Wiesmann GT’s lithe bonnet. This would undoubtedly improve its impressive 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds, whilst endowing it with a manic, supercar howl from up front.
