East, Miami will soon unveil the first outpost of Uruguay’s award-winning beachfront restaurant, Parador la Huella, in the form of a stunning interpretation in the form of the Quinto La Huella.
The new Quinto La Huella, a design of Los Angeles firm Studio Collective, will feature a contemporary update to the outdoor dining experience, complete with a parrilla placed at the very core of the kitchen, a sushi bar that serves Florida’s freshest Ocean catches, and a wood fire oven fuelled by red and whiter oak that is sourced locally.
Executive Chef Nano Crespo leads this urban reinvention of the Parador La Huella, complete with the ever-stunning vista of the Miami skyline.
Much like the restaurant’s tranquil atmosphere, the menu features down-to-earth cuisine that is elevated by meticulously planned yet simple dishes made with only the finest ingredients. For some Asian-style Tapas and a couple of cocktails, head on up to the rooftop bar and garden, Sugar. If a warm cappuccino, a light bite or a glass of wine is more of your thing, check out the all-day café/bar Domain, down at the lobby.
“Prior to our meeting with Brian Williams for the EAST, Miami project, we had been approached many times before. However, we were never really interested in expanding Parador La Huella,” said Pittaluga, partner of Quinto and Parador La Huella.
He added, “This opportunity was different. Swire Hotels’ restaurants and bars are destinations in their own right, and this project presented a unique challenge for us in a powerful and culturally rich city. Thanks to the tremendous cuisine, growing arts scene, and incredible architecture the city offers, Miami is truly becoming a cultural capital.”
Williams himself agreed that the collaboration was a match, sort of made in heaven. He said, “After meeting with Martin, Gustavo and Guzmán, it was clear that this was a perfect match, given Parador La Huella’s outstanding reputation and the team’s invigorating passion for their work.”
Quinto La Huella will open on May 23, and are currently accepting reservations.
