‘Tis the season for warm getaways, pretty festivities and pure joy in a series of vignettes. It will be Italian fashion editor, stylist and creative director Battaglia Engelbert’s debut short film for Tory Burch, titled ‘Tory Story’. The film, which stars model Jessica Hart, celebrates the brand’s new Holiday and Resort collections.
A relaxed yet refined vibe effervesces from the pieces and designs from Tory Burch’s Holiday 2016 and Resort 2017 collections. Highlights throughout the video include the Half-Moon Metallic Satchel and the Peace Smoking Slippers, as well as effortless, printed dresses and vivacious swimwear. The collection takes its inspiration from Jamaica’s Round Hill and its spirited atmosphere of island life, as well as Lauryn Hill’s embodiment of cool elegance.

The lighthearted video begins with Hart lip-syncing to the catchy “Don’t Mind” by Kent Jones, as she playfully unwraps presents in her Manhattan pad, excited for her approaching trip. She continues dancing in her bedroom, putting on different outfits before she heads off on the vacation with her friends.
“There was so much variety and so much to play with—and it is so much fun dressing to go somewhere,” says Engelbert, who is Vogue Japan’s Senior Fashion Editor and W Magazine’s Contributing Fashion Editor. “I have always respected Tory and her brand. The holiday looks inspired the concept for the video.”
