An ancient rainforest hides a beautiful escape that looks every bit part of its majestic surroundings, with four luxurious open-air villas lying along a winding river. From traditional herbal remedies and local rituals, guests can enjoy an immersive, therapeutic escape into this luxurious spa, complete with the ambiance of surrounding rainforest for an episode of relaxation, rejuvenation and reconnection with nature.

Each secluded spa villa has both indoor and outdoor showers with an expansive soaking tub overlooking the river, perfect for you (and perhaps, another) to immerse yourself completely in the soothing, subtle scents of the rainforest and its serene sights and tranquil sounds.

Three signature massages will be available from March including the Tungku Batu, the Synchronized Massage and the Traditional Massage, which all include half an hour of “Refreshment-Unwind-Rejuvenate”.

The Tungku Batu features a signature hot stone treatment called the ‘heart of stone’ massage, which is famous for increasing blood circulation and reducing pain. After brief heating with some rainforest herbs, a river stone is applied to your muscles, followed by a therapeutic massage with cinnamon, ginger, lime, pandan leaf and black cumin infused oil.

For the Synchronised Massage, two therapists work on a fusion of massage techniques around the world, combining the best of, and not limited to, Japanese Shiatsu, Traditional Thai, Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi and Ancient Balinese, and more.

The Traditional Massage blends soothing herbal oils and healing techniques in a calming, light yet effective massage, that will revitalize you in ways you’ve never known.

The Datai Langkawi leads the world’s best and most beautiful getaways, hidden away in the northwest tip of Langkawi island in Malaysia and for good reason – it’s surrounding 10 million year rainforest is certainly a gem in itself, and is one of National Geographic’s ‘Top 10 Beaches in the World’.
