After three long years in the making, the long-awaited lifestyle hotel, East, Miami, will be throwing its doors open tomorrow. The development serves as an extension of the Hong Kong-based East, and is located at Miami’s Brickell district.
To commemorate the soft opening of its latest hotel, guests at EAST, Miami will be able to enjoy a pre-opening package at a very special price until the end of September. Come October, the hotel will start operating under its standard price.
The new establishment will offer destination dining, state-of-the-art fitness facilities and quality amenities to its discerning local and visiting guests. The Swire Hotels operated East, Miami will feature 352 guest rooms, including eight suites and 89 residence suites overlooking the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay.
In addition to its LEED certification, the green certified development will also feature a highly-acclaimed architectural fixture by the name Climate Ribbon. Located at the heart of Brickell City Centre, the Climate Ribbon cools the space using natural wind currents, which eliminates the need for additional cooling units.
EAST, Miami features a meeting between ancient and modern day building methods, with its overall design cultivated by Arquitectonica, an award-winning, Miami-based architectural firm. Guests will also delight in the EAST hotel’s propensity for art as they enjoy specially curated collections around the hotel by Indiewalls.
Of its two signature restaurants, the Quinto La Huella, is another anticipation. As the very first outpost of Uruguay’s beachside Parador La Huella, which is currently number 11 on Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2015, the new Quinto La Huella will offer excellent cuisine with a unique fire-cooking method.
“For me, it was the continued recommendations from influential food writers in the culinary world and our anticipated customer mix that led me to Uruguay,” says Brian Williams, Managing Director of Swire Hotels.
