Move over you lousy, stuffy, cramped and flimsy tents. Make way for the latest in Glastonbury’s camping architecture and technology, the US$4500, ash and chestnut wood yurt. Built by the luxury yurt company ‘sshh’, this lavish outdoor accommodation is exactly where Sir Mick Jagger stayed during The Rolling Stones’ virgin stint at Glastonbury.
The yurt came with a king-size bed, sideboards, mirrors, candles, wooden floors, vintage chandeliers and five-star linen. What if Sir Mick Jagger got peckish? We doubt that he went hungry for long, as there was an independent restaurant to cater to his every whim. The bespoke services did not end there. The Rolling Stones’ iconic frontman was even provided with his own chauffeur-driven buggy to zip around in.

This whole luxury yurt thing sounds fit for a king. Then again, we are talking about Sir Mick Jagger, the man IS rock royalty. Though we wonder where Keith Richards and the rest of the gang from The Rolling Stones stayed during the rock music festival.
‘While I can’t reveal the identities of other celebrities staying in our yurts, what I can say is that he’ll be in good company and will have lots of fun I’m sure,’ said Josephine Beavitt, director of luxury yurt company ‘sshh’.
