You Can’t Resist The Subtly Seductive Louis Vuitton Fifty Five

The elegant traveler has always favored the signature Louis Vuitton trunks, since they established their trademark LV monogram on practical, durable and super stylish trunks since the 1880s. Over time and technological advancements, these traditional trunks naturally went through a modern makeover, using aluminum, zinc and copper for a new, water-resistant lightweight material that doesn’t compromise style.

Following these gorgeous innovations, the Maison will be introducing an inspired piece – the LV Fifty Five. This delicate piece is a step ahead of its other Louis Vuitton timepieces, with the sleek beauty of the classic steel, juxtaposed elegantly with the versatility of a contemporary timepiece.

The LV Fifty Five’s two metal plaques draw inspiration from the quintessential LV lock, found on historic trunks since 1890. These patented, pick-proof locks are reinvented on the LV Fifty Five’s metal plaques with the same engraving of Louis Vuitton on them. With Louis Vuitton’s iconic V signature for its dial, the contemporarily designed piece features a satin-brushed centre with a sunburst motif.

Three different movements make for three different sizes to the wearer’s preference. The smaller, delicate model, fitted with the extremely reliable ETA 256.031 quartz movement, measures 31mm in diameter and is perfect for everyday use. The next size up comes off as the decisively androgynous one, given its ambiguously sized 36mm diameter, and its rugged ETA 2892 self-winding mechanical movement. If you want something a little bigger, the largest model measures a sizeable 41mm in diameter, and features a ETA 2893self-winding mechanism with GMT function.

And, for an elegant finish, opt for the steel bracelet, which makes for a sophisticated vibe in comparison with its rugged leather sister, and it’s also super comfortable.
