Resident Hollywood leading man Ryan Reynolds will be modelling Piaget’s watch collection in a new international advertising campaign. The Deadpool star appears to be more than happy with the new partnership, admitting that the luxury timepieces are what he has always admired, ever since he was "just a little kid".
According to Reynolds, there are no other “iconic” brands that “better exemplifies craftsmanship, elegance and creativity."
"I work in a field in which things can be cast away quite quickly,” the new brand ambassador told Pret-a-Reporter. “So when you find something iconic, something timeless, it's important."
Reynolds announced his new role on his Instagram last Thursday. His caption read, "I could not be more proud and happy to have joined the @piaget family! I'll greatly miss my real family, but we all know this is for the best. #PiagetAmbassador”
Piaget CEO Philippe Leopold-Metzger considers the stylish actor a perfect fit as the new face of the brand, given his good looks, charisma, and acting talent. He also compared Reynold to Piaget, saying Reynold “fearlessly brings creativity to his art."
Reynolds joins actress Jessica Chastain as Piaget’s brand ambassador. Chastain was previously appointed in 2015 as the brand’s face for its jewelry.
