Chopard supported the President Challenge Charity Luncheon held at the Istana for the second consecutive year, and successfully auctioned off the sole unique timepiece: the classic Racing Chrono for SGD 50,000.
This year’s most glamorous annual charity event was held in conjunction with Formula 1. The racing event illuminated the Singapore skies again with its exciting racing teams, luminaries and grand acts.
Co-President and Artistic Director, Ms. Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, graced the auction to display Chopard’s commitment to the event. She was delighted with the final auction price for the watch house’s most elite timepiece, which was united with a happy new owner. All proceeds were donated to the Challenge for the President’s appointed charities
At the auction, Chopard was proud to launch another distinctive timepiece perfectly in line with the race – the new Classic Racing Chrono, F1 Singapore edition.
The F1 Singapore edition has its vertical stripes made of 18 carat rose gold. The unique piece offered an unobstructed view of its automatic movement.
Inspired by a racecar engine, the influences can be seen in its special dial and a large case size with a case diameter of 45mm and screw-down/lock crown in 18-carat rose gold. The caseback is engraved with the official Singapore GP motif.
The black rubber strap features the 1960s Dunlop Racing tyre-tread motif and a 18K Rose gold deployment buckle. It is the only timepiece which has earned the right to carry the Singapore F1 logo this year.
