Vivos, a California based company, has created a $10 million bunker that's equipped to deal with global catastrophe.
The bunker and its underground tunnels are equipped with their own power generation, food supply, water wells, filtration systems, security devices and medical equipment.
A comprehensible enough project in the light of predictions about global warming, resource wars, nuclear conflict and the like, the sincerity of the project is perhaps slightly called into question by the company marketing the product on the back of Hollywood blockbusters such as "2012" and "The Day After Tomorrow".

The clock on their website is counting down to 2012.
