The 5-star resort, Pinctada Cable Beach, is helping launch Australia's first beach polo event – Paspaley Beach Polo 2010.
Staged at Cable Beach in Broome, the inaugural tournament will see Australia’s top professional polo players compete for the Paspaley Cup against the backdrop of Australia’s Kimberley coast.
The event is the initiative of Marilynne Paspaley AM, Founder of Pinctada Hotels & Resorts, and Janek Gazecki of Polo Enterprises Australia who launched Australia’s Polo in the City series.
Paspaley said: “Paspaley Beach Polo has attracted interest from around the world and we’ve designed the Pinctada Polo Experience for guests who want to immerse themselves in the excitement and glamour of this unique sporting event.”
“Pinctada Cable Beach will be hosting Australia’s leading polo players during the tournament as well as a number of polo related events including the ‘after party’ – we are looking forward to also hosting our guests at these activities as part of the Pinctada polo experience.”
The official hotel for the event, Pinctada Cable Beach has announced a special 3-night Pinctada Polo Experience package.
Held on May 23, Cable beach joins a few select locations in the world hosting beach polo including Miami in the USA, Poole in the UK, Dubai in the UAE and Goa in India.
