The Royal Phuket Marina has unveiled a selection of penthouse condos boasting their own indoor water garages – a world first.
The design allows owners to step from their home straight onto the yacht without leaving the privacy of their own property. Priced at $3.1 million, the two penthouses spearhead the 15-unit "Aquaminium" waterfront development overlooking Phang Nga Bay in southern Thailand.
The private yacht berth is big enough to house a 12-meter boat and is only available in the two penthouses - one of which is currently for sale. The final phase of the development is due to be launched in 2011.
When owners step off their boats they will enter a "yacht lounge" space featuring a home-theatre, bar, waterfall Jacuzzi, hydro-therapy area and a glass wall looking out on to their berth.
A private elevator then transports residents from the yacht lounge up to the penthouse itself which comprises four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a roof terrace with infinity pool, sunken dining room and day-bed cabana.
