Art & Jewels: Sotheby's Singapore Preview

Leveraging on the growing interest in Impressionist, Modern
and Contemporary art throughout Asia, Sotheby’s has
announced that it will exhibit selected highlights of its London Summer Sale
Series of Impressionist & Modern Art and Contemporary Art in Singapore. To
be held at the Four Seasons Hotel on May 21 and 22, the showcase is the first dedicated preview of major London artwork auctions by any international
auction house in Singapore.

Art connoisseurs will get an opportunity to appreciate
pieces by prominent Impressionist and Modern artists such as Joan Miró, Kees Van Dongen, Paul Signac,
Fernand Léger and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, among others. On the Contemporary front, Gerhard
Richter, Andy Warhol, Lucio Fontana and others will be presented.

Also slated to run alongside the exhibition is the debut
Singapore showing of stunning diamond jewelry by Sotheby’s Diamonds, a retail diamond brand jointly founded in 2005
by Sotheby’s and the Steinmetz Diamond Group. The striking collection features
top-quality rocks in dramatic, unexpected settings, from a diamond-paved
bracelet boldly constructed of rubber and platinum to a diamond and Kingswood
brooch wrought to resemble a tree. The undisputed highlight of the Singapore preview is the gorgeous pair of fancy yellow pear-shaped diamond pendant earrings, shown below.
