A still from the short film
For an unprecedented glimpse into the mind and artistic process of celebrated filmmaker David Lynch, watch this gorgeously shot behind-the-scenes video, which shows the auteur working on his latest creative collaboration with premium cuvée label Dom Pérignon.
The campaign for the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned Champagne house, with its sci-fi-inflected and surreal landscapes, shows off Lynch's characteristically dark and dreamlike aesthetic.
Only the second living artist after Karl Lagerfeld to have shot a campaign for the luxury champagne house, Lynch made a pilgrimage to the revered Abbey of Hautvillers to take inspiration from the place where Dom Pierre Pérignon first combined wines to craft perfect blends—or "cuvees"—in the 17th century.
Lynch is no stranger to collaborations with the world's biggest luxury names, having created films and installations for brands like Gucci, Dior and Cartier. Watch the master at work below.
