Gents, mark your calendars in your Taiga leather organizers: this April will see Men's Fashion Week (MFW) returning to Singapore shores, this time with a distinctly Korean and Japanese edge.
The week-long celebration of men's style will see a host of top Asian and international designers showing at the glitzy Marina Bay Sands (MBS). Among the nineteen Houses showing at the five-day event: critically lauded Korean brand Songzio and British bespoke tailor Spencer Hart, an East-meets-West dual presentation at the Opening Gala; outré Japanese label Diet Butcher Slim Skin; and German artisanal company Mode Creation Munich, who will close MFW with a showcase of their Fall-Winter 2012 trove of menswear and fine leather accessories.
K-pop and J-pop fans will also be in for a treat: as part of an exciting integrated experience at the well, integrated resort, MFW and MBS will be bringing in some of the most popular musical acts from around the region.
Take it from Frank Cintamani, Chairman of MFW Singapore: "Fashion, like music, is something for all to appreciate. As such, MFW Singapore 2012 will experience a fusion of sartorial elegance and eclectic beats. You can call this, the Music and Men’s Fashion Week, or M2FW, edition."
Men's Fashion Week 2012 will run from April 18 to 22. Watch this space as the musical acts are unveiled, and bookmark these pages for the latest updates on the designers, ticketing advice and showtimes. Start planning your outfits, and see you at the front row!
