Tod’s unveiled the latest arm candy from its Signature Collection for Autumn-Winter 2012 at the lavishly decked out Italian Embassy in Paris, complete with megawatt luminaries the likes of Nicole Kidman, Anna Wintour and Zhang Yuqi.

The star-studded launch introduced new seasonal hues to the Signature range, an instantly recognizable trove of patent leather bags and accessories embossed with a pebbled pattern reminiscent of the rubber soles of the Italian house's beloved Gomminos.

The new collection, presented in glass display cases amidst the baroque setting of the Parisian embassy, lent the occasion an artsy, museum vibe—and indeed, these leather goods were a showcase of Tod's mastery of melding innovative design and on-trend colors with artisanal leathermaking.

Among the VIP guests perusing the Autumn-Winter collection were Tod's CEO Diego Della Valle and guest of honour Nicole Kidman, alongside big names from the social and fashion scene like supermodel Alek Wek, Andrea Casiraghi, Alex Dellal, Jade Jagger, Margherita Missoni, the Courtin-Clarin sisters, Coco Brandolini D’Adda, Eugenie Niarchos, Franca Sozzani and Stefano Tonchi.

After the presentation, the guests adjourned to a beautifully presented dinner, centred around champagne and foie gras, at Restaurant Lapérouse, one of the most iconic and evocative fine dining locations in Paris.
