More than just a cosmetic rejuvenation, the Rolls-Royce Phantom II iterations come rigged with the latest performance- and comfort-boosting technology, as well as an emphasis on connectivity to reflect the fast-paced digital age of our time.

Exterior changes include redesigned bumpers and spiffy new LED headlights, while the driver will be blown away with the new 3D maps with landscape topography. The V12 engine has also been amped up with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox and rear differential. The environmentally-friendly result? A ten percent reduction in fuel consumption and a drop in CO2 emissions, from 385 to 347g/km.

"These cars are timeless in their appeal," said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös, "but technology moves rapidly and we cannot afford to stand still." Let's walk you through the adjustments, starting from the new rectangular light apertures and sleek front bumpers, as well as a rear bumper incorporating a polished stainless steel highlight. The car will be offered with a choice of three new wheel finishings, including painted, part-polished, and polished, with sizes going up to 21" - the largest fitted as standard to any production car.

Interior-wise, the new Phantom Series II has all the lush outfittings of a premium car in its segment: gleaming chrome, the plushest leather and the finest grained wood. Front, rear and top-view camera systems provide ease of manoeuvring when parking your vehicle.

Other nifty 21st century touches for the Phantom Series II: the telephone cradle has been replaced with a standard fit smart phone cradle which connects directly to the car antennae, and the aforementioned 3D guided maps with landscape topography that seriously one-up your run-of-the-mill GPS.
