Appreciators of form and function will love the newly announced Hermès Leica M9-P Edition, a stylish photographer's dream gadget. Two limited edition versions will be offered: the M9-P Edition Hermès and the M9-P Edition Hermès – Série Limitée Jean-Louis Dumas.
Created in collaboration with the august French house, the two cameras sport Hermès' signature Veau Swift calfskin leathering in ocre. The smooth taupe skin is also used for the matching shoulder strap. The cameras also boast stellar design pedigree: famed automotive designer Walter de’Silva sketched the silver-chromed body, and added a series of consecutive limited-edition numbers for that air of exclusivity.
The Leica M9-P Edition Hermés will be offered in a limited edition of 300, and includes a silver-anodized Leica Summilux-M 50 mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens.
Meanwhile, only 100 pieces of the Edition Hermès – Série Limitée Jean-Louis Dumas will be available on the market, and comes equipped with three lenses: a Leica Summicron-M 28 mm f/ 2 ASPH., a Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH. and a Leica APO-Summicron-M 90 mm f/ 2 ASPH.
What else? The very covetable set also comes with an exclusive hand-finished Hermès camera bag, the first Leica camera bag to have been created by Hermès—as well as a portfolio of 200 black-and-white images by Jean-Louis Dumas, shot using his very own Leica M camera.
