Is this the future of food? DIY gourmets, meet the BurritobOt, a device that prints out copies of edible burritos. The brainchild of an NYU graduate, this art-meets-science-meets-dining robot is meant to get you thinking about "big" questions like the definition of food and our modern consumption habits.
Using a propulsion method, the BurritobOt squirts out layers of paste to create a fully-formed Tex-Mex snack (you will, however, have to garnish the tortilla with your own lettuce, as those can't be "printed"). The creators say they intend to put this on the market in the future, but in the meantime, we hope this state-of-the-art idea made you smile—and not barf!
