Simon Baker, Mentalist & New Face of Longines


The Chantilly racecourse, home of the Prix de Diane Longines, was the backdrop for the first photo-shoot featuring Simon Baker with Longines

Reading time now comes as easily as reading people's minds for "Mentalist" Simon Baker: the dashing TV lead is the new face for Longines. The newly minted Longines Ambassador of Elegance filmed the equestrian-themed photoshoot at the august Chantilly Racecourse, longtime home of the famed Prix de Diane Longines race.

Working with celebrated photographer Nicolas Guérin, you can see the first of the three-part series here, centred around the slogan “Elegance is an attitude”. Suited up in a classic navy-and-white ensemble, all the better to show off the Longines Saint-Imier timepiece on his wrist, the actor's supporting star was a handsome thoroughbred racehorse.

Simon Baker, on the campaign: “Our first campaign shoot was a pleasure to work on. I felt very at home with both the Longines family and the horse.”

The Longines Saint-Imier Collection timepieces are all fitted with mechanical movements. This 41mm chronograph in steel and rose gold with a silvered dial (shown above) boasts the in-house column-wheel movement L688. Its case in steel and rose gold displays a silvered dial.
